We collect information about how you interact with ChillTrails, including pages visited, features used, and general usage patterns. This helps us improve the service and fix issues.

Provide, maintain, and improve ChillTrails services
Display your journeys on interactive maps and timelines

Data Sharing & Third Parties
Public Journeys
Journeys you mark as public can be viewed by anyone. Your display name and profile photo will be visible on public journeys. Private journeys are only visible to you.
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to operate ChillTrails:
Firebase (Google) - Authentication and data storage
Mapbox - Interactive maps and geocoding
Google Places - Location search
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We will never sell your personal information to advertisers or third parties. Your data is used solely to provide and improve ChillTrails.
Your Rights & Controls
You have control over your data:
Access: View all your account information and journeys in your dashboard
Edit: Update your profile information and modify your journeys at any time
Delete: Remove individual journeys or delete your entire account from Settings
Privacy Settings: Control whether your journeys are public or private
Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously:
All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption
Data is stored securely on Firebase with industry-standard security practices
Authentication is handled by Google's secure OAuth system
We regularly review and update our security practices
